BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan recently announced the seventh product in their 1/144 scale model kit 'Accessory Set Gundam Model' series, the "High-Output Weapon Enhancement Set," scheduled for release in July 2024.
The High-Output Weapon Enhancement Set originates from the enhanced equipment mounted on the "Powered GM Cardigan," a Gunpla used by the protagonist Fumina Hoshino in the 2014 anime series Gundam Build Fighters Try. This equipment features several mechanical arms added to the thruster backpack, capable of simultaneously mounting two shields and a large beam rifle. However, the standalone HGBC 1/144 version, apart from the large beam rifle and mechanical arms, features almost entirely different equipment, and can also swap out weapons such as missiles and Gatling guns.
The "Accessory Set Gundam Model 07 (High-Output Weapon Enhancement Set)" released this time is essentially identical to the HGBC version launched in 2014. It is produced with single dark gray parts and includes a backpack, movable mechanical arms, a large beam rifle, Gatling guns, missiles, as well as beam machine guns and retractable Gatling guns for mounting on Mobile Suit wrists. This set can be combined with separately sold HG series Gunpla for customization.
