The 1/144 scale assembly model series "Option Parts Set Gunpla", released by BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division in Japan, recently announced the tenth product in the series, the "Galaxy Booster," scheduled for release in July 2024.
The Galaxy Booster originates from the fifth episode of the 2017 special animation series "Gundam Build Fighters: Battlogue." It is a backpack developed by protagonist Sei Iori for his new mobile suit, the "Star Build Strike Gundam Galaxy Cosmos." It can transform from its usual support unit form into a backpack with 12 deployed wings, combining with the Star Build Strike Gundam Galaxy Cosmos. It possesses the ability to simultaneously activate both the "RG System" and "Star System," significantly enhancing overall performance by utilizing Plavsky Particles.
The "Option Parts Set Gunpla 10 (Galaxy Booster)" is essentially the same as the HGBC 1/144 version released in 2018. It includes the Galaxy Booster main unit and a display stand. The Galaxy Booster can transform from a support unit form into an enhanced backpack with 12 movable wings. It also comes with backpack joint adapter parts, allowing for customization with separately sold HG series Gunpla.
