"That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" (転生したらスライムだった件) is a web novel created by Japanese novelist "Fuse," which began serialization in 2013. After receiving widespread acclaim, it was adapted into manga and anime. The story describes a 37-year-old office worker named Satoru Mikami, who, after being stabbed to death, finds himself reincarnated in another world as a slime named "Rimuru." The story then unfolds through his interactions with the monster "Veldora Tempest," who is sealed with him.
"Shizu" (SHIZU), whose real name is Shizue Izawa, was summoned by Demon Lord Leon and possessed by the fire spirit Ifrit. She later learned magic under the hero Chloe and obtained an anti-magic mask to control the fire spirit within her, earning her the title "Controller of Explosive Flames." After Rimuru devoured the out-of-control fire spirit within her, Shizu's life quickly weakened due to the loss of her spirit power. After entrusting Rimuru with her dying wish to find the Demon Lord, she allowed Rimuru to absorb her (thus her consciousness still lives within Rimuru). Rimuru, after analyzing Shizu's form with his Predator skill, became able to transform into a human appearance.
