BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd.'s HOBBY Division in Japan, which offers the most diverse range of 1/144 scale Gunpla in the 'HG (High Grade)' series, today announced the latest product from the theatrical anime film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM, the "HG 1/144 Murasame Kai," scheduled for release in October 2024.
The STTS/F-400 Murasame Kai is the next-generation mainstay mobile suit of the Orb military, improved from the "MVF-M11C Murasame." Several units were also delivered to the Archangel and piloted by individuals such as Mwu La Fllaga, serving as ship-borne combat power. This unit largely retains the Murasame's frame and armaments but features significantly improved exterior styling and transformation mechanisms, allowing it to transform into a fighter-like MA (Mobile Armor) form, possessing excellent aerial combat capabilities.
Prototype models of the "HG 1/144 Murasame Kai" in both MS (Mobile Suit) and MA forms have been exhibited. Utilizing Bandai's latest color separation and part division technology, its cool appearance from the series is faithfully reproduced. By replacing certain parts, the MA form, resembling a fighter jet with various missiles mounted on its main wings, can be recreated. More detailed product information is expected to be released in June 2024.
