BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division of Japan today announced the latest product from the theatrical anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom": "HG 1/144 Destiny Gundam Spec II & Zeus Silhouette", scheduled for release in November 2024. This new addition comes from the 'HG (High Grade)' series of 1/144 scale Gunpla, known for its most diverse range of mobile suits.
The A-GXQ754/V2 Zeus Silhouette is an armament utilized by the world peace monitoring organization "COMPASS". In the story, it was equipped by Akatsuki Gundam and Destiny Gundam Spec II in succession. In its standalone form, it flies as if a bird for aerial transport. After rendezvous with the equipped mobile suit, it can separate into various reinforced parts to be attached to different sections of the MS body. Large thrusters are added to the rear waist and both legs, while the back is equipped with sensors and missile pods. Its main armament is an extremely powerful, super-large railgun that exceeds the length of the MS itself. To prevent it from becoming unusable if the barrel is damaged, it is equipped with three spare barrels when deployed.
"HG 1/144 Destiny Gundam Spec II & Zeus Silhouette" utilizes the "HG 1/144 Destiny Gundam" kit released years ago, modified with the deep color scheme characteristic of Spec II. It also includes newly molded parts for the Zeus Silhouette. Through its combining mechanism, it can merge with Destiny Gundam Spec II to recreate its final battle specifications, holding the extremely large super-large railgun. Furthermore, the Zeus Silhouette can also be assembled independently into a standalone flying MA (Mobile Armor) form.
