BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division in Japan, known for its 'HG (High Grade)' series of 1/144 scale Gunpla which boasts the most diverse range of mobile suits, today announced the commercialization of the "HG 1/144 Z'Gok (Provisional Name)" from the theatrical anime film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM. The release date is yet to be determined.
The ZGMF-X191M2 Infinite Justice Gundam Type-II is a new mobile suit that improves upon Aslan's previous machine, the Infinite Justice Gundam, using the latest technology from Morgenroete. It features an all-around cockpit, VPS armor, and a significantly revamped exterior armor design. A beam saber is added to the head for thrusting attacks. The backpack replaces the original "Fate-01" with a new propulsion backpack, gaining ultra-high-speed combat capabilities through new foldable wings, the leading edges of which can also deploy beam blades. However, because the nuclear power engine used by this machine violates the Junius Treaty, it must usually be disguised as a Z'Gok for discreet operation.
The "HG 1/144 Z'Gok (Provisional Name)" utilizes completely new parts to recreate the appearance of the Infinite Justice Gundam Type-II disguised as a Z'Gok in the film. It features the protruding beam saber on the head and is equipped with the same type of propulsion backpack. Currently, only a development prototype is on display, and detailed product information has not yet been announced.
