American toy manufacturer McFarlane Toys' DC Multiverse series has announced a new product based on the DC Comics event "Batman: Knightfall," published from 1993 to 1994 – the "Batman / Bane" 7-inch action figure set. With a suggested retail price of US$69.99, it is now available for pre-order through McFarlane's designated channels and is expected to be released in June 2024!
In the "Batman: Knightfall" comic, Batman encountered the newly introduced formidable foe, Bane. Bane released all the inmates from Arkham Asylum, leaving Batman exhausted from dealing with them. Ultimately, in his fatigued state, Batman had his spine broken by Bane, forcing him to temporarily seek someone else to take on the mantle of Batman. The classic scene from the comic where Batman's back is broken was recreated in Christopher Nolan's 2012 film "The Dark Knight Rises," and the impactful imagery has also spawned various tributes and memes online.

This action figure set meticulously recreates Batman's exhausted and injured appearance, restoring his dark gray and light blue combat suit. The fabric cape features internal wires on both sides, allowing for dynamic posing adjustments. As for Bane, his explosively swollen musculature after injecting Venom is sculpted, looking as if he could burst out of his clothing at any moment, showcasing his astonishing destructive power! While the figures' articulation appears standard, posing them in that classic back-breaking scene is absolutely no problem – you can thoroughly "destroy" Batman!
