GUNDAM SIDE-F, the Mobile Suit Gundam themed facility in Fukuoka, Japan, which features the popular life-sized ν Gundam statue, recently announced the exclusive in-store release of the limited item「HG 1/144 GM III (Axis Shock Color)」, scheduled for preliminary release starting June 2024. The release date for general GUNDAM BASE stores is yet to be determined.
In Universal Century 0093, the "Second Neo Zeon War" saw Char Aznable lead the Earth Freezing Operation, aiming to crash the asteroid base Axis into Earth. Although it seemed to conclude with Earth Federation Forces ace pilot Amuro Ray shooting down Char's Sazabi, a massive front section of Axis, split in two by nuclear missiles, continued to fall towards Earth. At this critical moment, Amuro's ν Gundam, along with numerous Mobile Suits from all factions, began pushing Axis in the opposite direction. The ν Gundam's Psycho-Frame received the consciousness of all humanity in the Earth Sphere, converting it into thrust, creating a miracle known as the 「Axis Shock」 that pushed Axis away from Earth.
The 「HG 1/144 GM III (Axis Shock Color)」 is based on a modification of the previously released standard specifications. Its exterior armor has been replaced with new molding colors such as metallic green and metallic red, expressing the machine's appearance bathed in the miraculous light while obstructing Axis. It also includes model-original body marking stickers to enhance detail. Other parts remain consistent with the standard specifications, featuring articulated joints for posing in various stances. The shoulder missile launchers can replicate the open-hatch firing state by swapping parts, and it comes with a beam rifle, beam saber, and shield as weaponry.
