GOOD SMILE COMPANY of Japan's affordable pre-painted figure series "POP UP PARADE" is releasing the "POP UP PARADE Mina Ashiro" PVC figure, based on the popular series "Kaiju No. 8"! The suggested retail price is 4,800 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in November 2024!
The manga series "Kaiju No. 8," created by manga artist Naoya Matsumoto, began serialization in July 2020 on Shueisha's online manga platform Shonen Jump+. It achieved an astonishing total of over 30 million views within 3 months and 100 million views within a year, setting a platform record. Mina Ashiro (亜白 ミナ), who appears in the series, is the protagonist Hibino's childhood friend. The two promised to join the Defense Force together when they were young. By the time Hibino joined, she was already the captain of the Defense Force's Third Division and a candidate for division commander.
The "POP UP PARADE Mina Ashiro" PVC figure stands approximately 17 cm tall. It faithfully recreates Mina's cool and sharp black ponytail, with naturally flowing hair adding a sense of dynamism to the overall look. Details such as the Defense Force uniform's armor, logo, and waist pouch are meticulously rendered, and her pose holding a sniper rifle is incredibly cool! Her cool expression exudes determination and presence as she prepares to subjugate Kaiju. Display her with other figures from the same series to fully capture the world of Kaiju No. 8!
