As the source of Middle-earth's malice, "10333 The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr," is set to be released in June 2024, the Danish LEGO toy company has simultaneously unveiled a new gift-with-purchase item: "40693 The Lord of the Rings: Fell Beast"! This item will be available for free to those who purchase the 10333 The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr between June 1st and June 7th. Details regarding its release in Taiwan have not yet been announced.
The winged beasts from Mordor, known as Black Wings, or sometimes called Nazgûl-birds or Fell Beasts, are creatures in The Lord of the Rings story that, like their masters, instill intense fear in their enemies. Not only are they massive and capable of launching aerial assaults, but their piercing shriek, which can instantly paralyze, is also a major weapon of the Fell Beast.
This LEGO set features 269 pieces. Once assembled, you get a minifigure-scale Fell Beast with a Nazgûl minifigure riding it, along with a castle wall-shaped display stand. The multi-jointed body allows for various poses, and the head sculpt is quite well-replicated given the limited number of pieces. The wings are made of soft plastic sheets attached to a Technic frame, making it look absolutely menacing!
