The toy brand JADA TOYS, known for its collectible scale cars, has received widespread acclaim for its 6-inch action figure series based on Capcom's "Street Fighter" game series. Following the previously released "M. Bison" and "Dhalsim", they have recently unveiled a new "Street Fighter II" themed product: the "Chun-Li (Red Outfit Version)" 6-inch action figure. It has a suggested retail price of US$24.99 and is currently available as a Target exclusive at the well-known American retail chain!
Chun-Li (チュン・リー) first appeared in "Street Fighter II" and is the first playable female character in the Street Fighter game series. Chun-Li's father was a Hong Kong special police officer, one of Hong Kong's top ten strongest drug investigators. However, one day, Chun-Li's father suddenly disappeared. To uncover the truth, Chun-Li joined Interpol and discovered that her father's disappearance might be related to M. Bison, the leader of the evil organization "Shadaloo". She hopes to defeat famous fighters from various countries through martial arts tournaments, eventually encountering M. Bison to avenge her father.
This Chun-Li Red Outfit Version 6-inch action figure is based on Chun-Li's Player 2 outfit from the game. The overall sculpt reuses the previously released regular version of the Chun-Li figure. Although the paint application is monochromatic, Chun-Li's iconic thigh muscle lines are still visible under light. The qipao (cheongsam) is made of soft plastic, which may slightly affect articulation, but it absolutely does not hinder her from striking classic side-kick poses. Displaying her with effect parts looks incredibly cool!
