American brand Executive Replicas, dedicated to releasing various pop culture action figures and prop replicas, recently launched a new product based on the classic American comic series "The Rocketeer" — "The Rocketeer & Butch" 1/12 scale action figure set. The suggested retail price is US$69.99, and it is expected to be released in November 2024!
"The Rocketeer" is a superhero comic adventure series created by American cartoonist Dave Stevens in 1982. The story is set in the late 1930s, pre-WWII America, where stunt pilot Cliff Secord serendipitously discovers a mysterious jetpack hidden by two gangsters, thus beginning his career of fighting crime. The comic was adapted into a live-action film by Disney in 1991, where Cliff confronts Nazis attempting to use jetpack technology to invade the United States.
This action figure set includes both the Rocketeer and Butch figures, crafted to replicate the Rocketeer's comic book appearance. It faithfully recreates his iconic red flight jacket, white khaki pants, and the exaggerated jetpack on his back. The helmet and jetpack feature a pearlescent paint finish to achieve a metallic texture. The set also includes an interchangeable head sculpt to display Cliff's likeness, multiple sets of interchangeable hands, and a weapon pistol, allowing for various combat poses!
Although the bulldog Butch only made a fleeting appearance in the movie, he is Cliff's good partner in the comics. This product meticulously brings Butch's comic book image to life, recreating his laid-back demeanor!
