Following "Kozume Kenma" and "Kuroo Tetsuro", Japan's Megahouse toy company, under its "G.E.M." line which brings numerous anime and manga characters to life, is once again releasing a new product in its "Tenohira" (Palm-sized) series based on the popular anime "Haikyuu!!" - "Tooru Oikawa". The suggested retail price is 7,920 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in November 2024!
Third-year "Tooru Oikawa" is the captain of Aoba Johsai. His formidable cannon serves and precise ball control repeatedly posed a threat to Karasuno's players in the series. Oikawa was Kageyama's senior during middle school and also an object of admiration, which led Shoyo to bestow upon him the title of "Grand King," a rank even higher than Kageyama's "King of the Court."
This Tooru Oikawa palm-sized figure recreates Oikawa in his Aoba Johsai volleyball club uniform, presenting a majestic sitting pose with his body leaning forward and one hand resting on the volleyball placed on his knees. The intricate sculpting highlights Oikawa's muscle lines, and the painting enhances the overall light and shadow contrast. A slight smile on his face showcases his immense confidence as the Grand King!
