GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted figure series, POP UP PARADE, has launched two new products based on the popular anime "Detective Conan"—the "Kaito Kid" and "Conan Edogawa" pre-painted figures. Each figure is priced at 4800 JPY and is scheduled for release in January 2025!
The highly popular character "Kaito Kid" from "Detective Conan" was originally the protagonist of Gosho Aoyama's previous work, "Magic Kaito". His subsequent appearances in "Detective Conan", engaging in various battles of wits with Shinichi, have garnered immense fan adoration, to the point where his guest appearances are almost considered regular! This year, the series' almost annual theatrical film welcomes its 24th installment, "Detective Conan: The Million-Dollar Pentagram", where Conan will once again engage in a battle of wits with Kid to unravel complex mysteries! It premiered in Japan on April 12th and is set to release in Taiwan on June 28th, which is highly anticipated!
These "Kaito Kid" and "Conan Edogawa" pre-painted figures meticulously capture the intricate details of their respective outfits. Conan's glasses and Kid's monocle are both crafted from transparent plastic to replicate the texture of lenses, and the sculpting faithfully recreates the flowing appearance of Kid's cape. Although sold separately, their dynamic poses depict a confrontation, and displaying them together beautifully illustrates their "frenemy" relationship – it looks like they're a must-have pair!
