The 'Nendoroid Doll' series of chibi-style, low-head-to-body ratio articulated figures, released by Japanese figure manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY, has announced its latest product from "Evangelion New Theatrical Edition", the "Nendoroid Doll Shikinami Asuka Langley", with a suggested retail price of 9,000 JPY, scheduled for release in November 2024.
The "Nendoroid Doll" series combines the extensive character variety of the "Nendoroid" series with the features of an articulated doll body. Flexible ball joints are used for the shoulders and hips, and additional articulation points have been added to the chest, waist, and feet, significantly enhancing posability. The head-to-body ratio is taller and more slender than the standard Nendoroid series, while the head specifications remain the same as regular Nendoroid products, allowing for interchangeable parts. The clothing is designed as removable fabric garments, allowing you to dress your favorite Nendoroid Doll characters in outfits from other works or original GOOD SMILE COMPANY accessories!
The "Nendoroid Doll Asuka" articulated figure stands approximately 14 cm tall. It recreates her classic school uniform look with the series' characteristic chibi styling, flexible joints, and a more slender head-to-body ratio than a standard Nendoroid. The clothing is designed as removable fabric garments and includes the Third New Tokyo City First Municipal Middle School uniform, white socks with red circles, white underwear, and black shoes. Additionally, it comes with interchangeable hand parts, an articulated stand, and a dedicated base. The base parts are non-magnetic.
