The 1/144 scale Gunpla "HG (High Grade)" series, known for its vast variety of mobile suits, produced by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division, today announced the latest product from the official side story "A.O.Z RE-BOOT" of "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam": "HG 1/144 Gundam TR-6 [Barzam II] RE-ZEON Captured Specification (A.O.Z RE-BOOT Ver.)", slated for release in August 2024.
The "HG 1/144 Gundam TR-6 [Barzam II] RE-ZEON Captured Specification (A.O.Z RE-BOOT Ver.)" is based on the previously released TR-6 main body, modified with numerous new parts to recreate its appearance after being captured by the RE-ZEON forces. It features Barzam-style limbs, distinct from the TR Project specification version, and an all-red armor scheme. The characteristic large antenna on the head can be reproduced in both stowed and deployed modes by swapping parts, and the "Eleanor Satellite Link System" activation state is also recreated.
The connection between the Barzam arms and the main body utilizes fixed parts to enhance playability and strength. The folded TR-6 arms can also deploy internal missile launchers via a sliding mechanism. Armaments include a beam rifle with a detachable grenade launcher, beam sabers, and auxiliary manipulators that can store beam sabers. Furthermore, the mobile suit can link with other TR Project series products, such as the "HG 1/144 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Custom] & Gundam TR-6 Expansion Parts Set," allowing for arm part replacement, shield booster attachment, and more.
