GOOD SMILE COMPANY's Nendoroid series, featuring over a thousand types of collectible figures, will release a new product based on the anime "Kaiju No. 8": "Nendoroid Soshiro Hoshina," with a suggested retail price of 6,800 JPY, slated for release in November 2024!
Soshiro Hoshina, Vice-Captain of the Japan Defense Force's Third Division, is the superior of protagonist Kafka Hibino. He usually maintains a mysterious squint, but is incredibly reliable in critical moments! Hailing from a family of Kaiju exterminators that has continued since the Muromachi period, his specialized weapons are two katanas, and he excels in close combat, making him suitable for fighting smaller Kaiju.
The "Nendoroid Soshiro Hoshina" articulated figure recreates Soshiro Hoshina's memorable mushroom-cut with triangular bangs in an adorable proportion, with his Defense Force combat uniform also intricately sculpted. It comes with three interchangeable face plates: his signature squinting "smiling face," a "combat face" with one eye open, and an intimidating "serious face." These can be combined with accessories such as his twin katanas "specialized weapons," "Defense Force mask," and a book, allowing fans to enjoy various scenes of the Vice-Captain!
