American toy brand NECA recently announced a new "Prey" themed product for this year's annual event, San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) – the "Feral Predator Camo Reveal" 7-inch action figure, which will be sold as an exclusive. To give fans who cannot attend in person a chance to own this item, NECA will offer buyers the opportunity to pre-order it on the official NECA store website from June 26-28!
The 2022 film "Prey," directed by Dan Trachtenberg, is the fifth film in the "Predator" series and a prequel. Set in the 18th century North American Great Plains, the story follows Naru, the most skilled hunter of the Comanche Native American tribe, as she encounters a high-tech alien warrior who has landed on Earth. She must use her primitive hunting skills to fight against it to prevent her village from facing slaughter.
This "Feral Predator Camo Reveal" figure's design is based on the scene in the film where the Predator first appears and wreaks havoc. It utilizes transparent plastic parts with partial paint applications to recreate its cloaking ability and the effect of it intermittently revealing itself during combat. The overall appearance is crystal-like and incredibly cool! Accessories include the bone bio-mask it wears in the film, a bear trap, the wolf skull from the movie, an axe, bombs, medical equipment, and many other devices and objects seen in the story. The packaging also echoes the theme of the cloaking device, featuring a transparent box with an outer sleeve printed with cloaking device effects, showcasing exceptional high quality!
