The "Marvel Legends" series, launched by the internationally renowned toy manufacturer Hasbro, has been running for seventeen years since its debut in 2007. It can be considered the most enduring and undefeated evergreen among all Marvel action figure lines.

Continuing the design legacy from Toy Biz, the Marvel Legends series adopts the 1:12 scale, perfect for in-hand play. These six-inch figures are designed with multiple points of articulation, recreating the most memorable appearances of classic characters. After more than a decade of evolution, not only are the sculpts faithful, but the head sculpts, rendered with digital printing, have reached a high artistic standard. The beautiful physiques and extreme posability are selling points that fans find irresistible. Whether you prefer righteous superheroes or nefarious supervillains, the vast character selection of the Marvel Legends series ensures that every collector can find an action figure of their favorite character. This, precisely, is the greatest strength of the Marvel Legends series.
This unboxing report will introduce a 7+1 figure set. By collecting the parts included in all seven boxes, you can assemble this wave's exclusive BAF (Build-A-Figure)—the saber-toothed tiger from the Savage Land, "Zabu." This is a relatively rare animal figure for the series. Now, let's dive into the Marvel Legends experience with this unboxing report!
▼ Here are the stars of today's unboxing, including the seven individually boxed figures and the aforementioned BAF.

▼ The side of the box features a portrait of the character, making it convenient for collectors to store and identify.

▼ "Superior Iron Man," based on the 2014 comic of the same name, "Superior Iron Man." After the events of AXIS, Tony Stark became a selfish and cruel villain, using the powerful Extremis 3.0 virus to amass ill-gotten wealth and even attempting to control minds with his technology.

▼ This figure recreates Superior Iron Man's unique white "Endo-Sym suit" and comes with interchangeable unmasked/helmeted head sculpts, as well as the familiar effect parts.

▼ The unmasked head sculpt is arguably the most striking highlight, perfectly capturing the malicious nature of this version of Tony.

▼ The body mold has been newly tooled to match the original design, and it feels great in hand.

▼ The effect parts are versatile and can be attached to either the hands or the feet without any issue!

▼ "Wolfsbane," real name Rahne Sinclair, is a core member of the New Mutants. She can transform into a wolf or a werewolf and first appeared in 1983's "New Mutants" #3.

▼ Unlike the 2019 three-in-one version, this figure features her X-Factor uniform, and her limbs have a highly detailed, three-dimensional fur sculpt.

▼ The facial features are created using digital printing, a technique that the Marvel Legends series has now mastered.

▼ The figure uses the new pinless body mold, which offers both aesthetic appeal and high posability.

▼ "Black Winter (Thor)," first mentioned in the "Thor" comics in 1969, is an immensely powerful and mysterious entity. As a reality-devourer, it is the ultimate executor of cosmic destruction.

▼ This figure's design is based on the 2020 comic where the Black Winter took on the form of Thor. It's a very rare character to be made into a figure and comes with an effect-laden Mjolnir.

▼ The head sculpt, with its flowing, silky hair, is hard to ignore.

▼ The body is largely a reuse of the previously released Rune King Thor, which is accurate to the depiction in the 2020 comic.

▼ The weapon effect can be attached freely. The translucent cape, under the right lighting, is understated yet luxurious.

▼ The throne for the most magnificent figure in this wave absolutely belongs to this Black Winter. I don't think anyone would disagree, right?

▼ "Red Widow," who first appeared in 2018's "Avengers" Vol. 8 #10, is an elite agent trained by Russia's secret espionage agency, the Red Room. She is also a member of the Russian superhero team, the "Winter Guard." This is the character's first-ever action figure, a result of winning the 2023 fan poll.

▼ The figure faithfully recreates Red Widow's multi-layered costume and cape, and also includes a double-bladed long sword as her weapon.

▼ The cloak is made of soft plastic to minimize hindrance to articulation.

▼ Holding the weapon with both hands is no problem at all!

▼ While it's a bit hard to imagine how she managed to come out on top in the fan poll, the bottom line is... if you like her, don't miss out!

▼ "Ikaris," who first appeared in 1976's "Eternals" #1, is a key member of the Eternals. He has been on Earth for thousands of years, and his natural leadership charisma and powerful abilities make him a natural guardian of humanity and the planet.

▼ This figure features his classic comic book appearance, which will be more familiar to long-time readers. The new body mold gives him impeccable articulation.

▼ The head sculpt also utilizes digital printing. If the bangs were cut a little straighter, one can't help but be reminded of a certain prince from space, right?

▼ The articulation is top-notch, making it a piece of cake to pull off dynamic battle poses or static, imposing stances.

▼ "Cable," real name Nathan Summers, is the son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor, a clone of Jean Grey. His birth was orchestrated by Mr. Sinister. He was later infected with the Techno-organic virus and had to be sent to the future for treatment, where he became a resistance fighter against the tyranny of Apocalypse.

▼ This figure's design is based on his costume from the 2000 game "Marvel vs. Capcom 2" and comes with two interchangeable weapons.

▼ The head sculpt is packed with details despite its small size: his left eye and its effect, inherited from his father Cyclops; the scar over his right eye with its detailed eyeball; and the ruggedly charming stubble.

▼ The mechanical left arm, a result of the virus infection, also has a great texture.

▼ It's easy to recreate his signature move from the game, where he shoots with his back to the player.

▼ To all Cable fans, I can only offer my sincerest recommendation.

▼ "Ka-Zar," real name Kevin Plunder, is the son of a British nobleman who first appeared in 1965's "X-Men" #10. Raised in the Savage Land by Zabu, he mastered powerful survival and combat skills, becoming the hero and protector of the Savage Land.

▼ This is the ultimate representation of a nearly-nude body mold. This Marvel version of Tarzan, Ka-Zar, also uses a pinless body and comes with a Rambo knife and a crude stone-tipped spear.

▼ The head sculpt, with its handsome and dashing face, undoubtedly makes him the top visual of the Savage Land.

▼ The charm of Marvel Legends lies in its high degree of freedom for both dynamic and static poses, all thanks to this body mold that has evolved over more than a decade.

▼ "Zabu," the powerful and courageous saber-toothed tiger from the wild Savage Land, shares a deep bond with Ka-Zar as both mentor and friend. This Zabu is released as a BAF, and its size is naturally scaled to pair with Ka-Zar. Displaying them together definitely enhances the feel!

▼ Not only is the fur meticulously sculpted all over its body, but the head, eyes, and even pores are rendered with lifelike detail. The articulated jaw allows Zabu to display a variety of expressions.

▼ In addition, the multiple joints in its limbs perfectly capture the power and beauty of a large feline.

▼ ROAR!! You can almost feel the spittle flying into your face.

▼ The motion and speed of a pouncing saber-toothed tiger are fully captured here. It's not just human figures; now even animal figures can be this impressive. Marvel Legends can surely go on for another hundred years!

▼ The bond of wildness and spirit, all in one set for you!

▼ That concludes our unboxing report of the Marvel Legends Zabu series. Toy fans who like what they see shouldn't miss out! See you in the next unboxing report!
