Bandai's GASHAPON capsule toy division is launching a new product series under its eco-friendly "CAPCHARA" (カプキャラ) capsule toy line, which transforms the capsule shell into the toy's main body. This new series will feature the super popular work "Chiikawa" as its theme. The suggested retail price is 400 Japanese Yen per turn, and it is expected to be released in the 5th week of June 2024!
Created by popular Japanese illustrator Nagano, "Chiikawa" has taken Japan and Taiwan by storm in the past two years with its super cute designs and the feeling of "even such adorable creatures have their share of small misfortunes in daily life, making their existence not so easy." This "Chiikawa CAPCHARA" series continues the line's design of combining the capsule shell with the contents to assemble character models. The adorable Chiikawa characters are perfectly recreated with simple painting. The series includes four styles: Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi, and Momonga. The characters' round shapes are perfectly suited for the CAPCHARA capsule shell format, showcasing an adorable aura without any sense of incongruity!
