SUPER7, an American toy brand dedicated to releasing 80s and 90s pop culture-themed toys, is launching four new products in its "ULTIMATES!" action figure series, based on the 2003 animated version of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"—the 7-inch action figures of "Leonardo," "Raphael," "Donatello," and "Michelangelo." The suggested retail price is US$55 per figure, with an estimated release in February 2025!
The 2003 "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" animated series, which premiered in 2003, was co-produced by Mirage Studios and 4Kids Entertainment. It aired for 7 seasons and 156 episodes from 2003 to 2009. Compared to the classic 1987 "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" animation, the character personalities and overall tone were more serious, attempting to bring the work closer to the original comic books created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird.
This 12th wave of the ULTIMATES! "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series is inspired by the 2003 animated version, featuring the four turtles—Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo. They are crafted with their iconic white-eyed appearance from that version, with sculpting that faithfully recreates the turtles' muscular physiques and flat-painted coloring to restore the cartoon style. This release also marks the debut of double-jointed arms and knees for enhanced articulation, allowing them to recreate their cool poses from the animation with a wealth of weapon accessories!
