The Danish LEGO toy company recently announced a brand-new Gift With Purchase (GWP) item, numbered 40690, "Tribute to Jules Verne's Books"! According to currently released information, customers who spend over US$150 at LEGO Stores between June 24th and June 30th, 2024, will receive it for free.
If the name "Jules Verne," the French novelist, sounds a bit unfamiliar to you, then world-renowned classics like "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas," "Around the World in Eighty Days," "Two Years' Vacation," and "Five Weeks in a Balloon" should certainly be well-known! This LEGO set, designed as a tribute to the father of science fiction, contains a total of 351 pieces. It not only builds an open book model but also uses it as a base to construct the "Nautilus submarine" from "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas," the hot air balloon from "Five Weeks in a Balloon," and a train model and railway scene inspired by the Jules Verne train, all complemented by a Jules Verne minifigure to make the set truly complete!
