Japan's Bandai company's GASHAPON capsule toy brand's premium series "Ultimate Creatures Encyclopedia" is receiving rave reviews for its "Cicada 01 Display Stand Set" capsule toy. There are three types, with a reference price of 1,800 JPY per capsule (regular capsule version 1,500 JPY). It will be available for gacha online at GASHAPON ONLINE, with an expected release in September 2024.
The "Ultimate Creatures Encyclopedia (Ikimono Dai Zukan Advance)" boasts top-tier size, sculpting, and articulation. Compared to the "Creatures Encyclopedia" series, these products feature even more realistic details and exquisite paintwork. This release, the "Ultimate Creatures Encyclopedia Cicada 01 Display Stand Set," includes three types: "Cryptotympana facialis," "Green Cryptotympana facialis," and "Cryptotympana facialis Larva." Each measures approximately 55-90 mm and features around 21 points of articulation across the body. By CT scanning specimens, the intricate details of their delicate wings, legs, and eyes are thoroughly recreated. The larva can even be displayed in its post-molting, eclosed state using interchangeable parts!
The set includes a realistic wood-shaped stand, allowing you to display the cicada in its classic state perched on a tree. Additionally, a clear stand can be used to assist in posing it in flight!
