Bandai's GASHAPON division is launching a new product based on Koikeya's classic mint candy snack "Pinky" – the "Koikeya Pinky Shaka Shaka Charm" (tentative translation) Gashapon. With a suggested retail price of 300 JPY, it is scheduled to debut in the fourth week of June 2024!
The classic mint candy snack "Pinky," launched by Japanese snack manufacturer Koikeya Co., Ltd., is distributed in Taiwan by Wuzhou Pharmaceutical. It was originally released in three flavors: peach, mint, and grape. Its classic advertising jingle, "Pinky Pinky Pinky, three flavors~," set to the melody of the Japanese children's song "Momotaro," is surely a cherished childhood memory for many toy enthusiasts! This "Koikeya Pinky Shaka Shaka Charm" Gashapon recreates the classic design of Pinky's plate-shaped candy boxes sold in Japan in 2007, transforming them into charms that produce the same rattling sound as the actual candy boxes when shaken. It features four popular flavor designs: "Peach Mint," "Grape Mint," "Lemon Mint," and "Lychee Mint." Additionally, it includes Pinky's two classic mascots, "Pinky Monkey" and "Fresh Monkey." The adorable designs and the rattling sound evoke memories of Pinky's sweet, sour, and refreshing taste!
