BANDAI CANDY, the confectionery toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced today that the latest product from its popular assembly model confectionery toy series "SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT," "Meteor Fusion Victory Mars" from "GoGo-V," is scheduled for release in October 2024.
Victory Mars is the fourth robot to appear in the latter half of the series. Unlike previous giant robots developed solely by the Tatsumi family, Victory Mars' development received technical support from scientists worldwide. It is formed by the transformation and combination of five spacecraft, possessing the ability to perform rescue and combat operations in extreme environments such as high temperatures, deep seas, and outer space.
"SMP Meteor Fusion Victory Mars" utilizes precise multi-color molded parts and stickers to create the five Mars Machines in red, blue, green, yellow, and pink. In this state, it can link with the separately sold "SUPER MINIPLA Linkage Gattai Liner Boy" to recreate the spacecraft stored within each carriage. Furthermore, by linking with the separately sold "SUPER MINIPLA Liner Boy," it can recreate its space flight form, exceeding one meter in length.
The five Mars Machines naturally also feature transformation and combination mechanisms. First, they can form the four-legged intermediate form, "Beetle Mars," which allows for more natural movement poses thanks to its flexible joints. Its two front legs can also deploy as robotic arms for work, with bomb parts equipped on the front claws. After transforming Beetle Mars to stand upright, it completes its final form, "Victory Mars," allowing for dynamic combat poses with weapons such as the Jet Lance and Victory Sword.
