Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., the robot-themed action figure series "ROBOT魂 ver. A.N.I.M.E." today announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury," the "Gundam Lfrith Ur," scheduled for release in December 2024.
The EDM-GA-01 Gundam Lfrith Ur is a Gundam-type mobile suit developed from the Lfrith mass production prototype before the Vanadis Institute, a Gundam development organization, was purged by a special unit of the MS Development Council. It was later provided to the Earth anti-Spacian organization "Dawn of Fold" and piloted by the Earth Witch "Sophie Pulone" in the main story 21 years later. This unit is equipped with a large Gatling gun, shoulder machine cannons, a phased array cannon, and other armaments, excelling at suppressing enemy mobile suits with barrages of fire.
The "ROBOT魂 Gundam Lfrith Ur ver. A.N.I.M.E." faithfully reproduces the sophisticated design and details of its heavy armor based on the anime's design drafts. Metallic colors and clear parts are used to depict the red glow emitted when the "Permet Score" activates on the head, chest, and other areas. Furthermore, the entire model incorporates the articulation technology cultivated in the ver. A.N.I.M.E. series, providing a flexible range of motion through mechanisms such as pull-out shoulder joints.
The armament accessories include various interchangeable hand parts, two beam sabers, a shield, a beam Gatling gun, and the back-mounted phased array cannon. These can be combined with the main unit's flexible articulation to recreate various combat poses. The phased array cannon can not only change its angle via an articulated base but also features an expansion gimmick to reproduce its state when the "Permet Score" is at Level 3 or higher.
