From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, the robot-themed action figure series "ROBOT魂 ver. A.N.I.M.E." today announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury," "Gundam Lfrith Ur," scheduled for release in December 2024.
EDM-GA-01 Gundam Lfrith Thorn is a Gundam-type mobile suit developed from the Gundam Lfrith mass production prototype before the Vanadis Institute, a Gundam development organization, was purged by a special unit of the MS Development Council. It was later provided to the anti-Spacian organization "Dawn of Fold" on Earth, and in the main story 21 years later, it was piloted by the Earth Witch, Norea Du Noc. This unit features a unique short leg design and excels at long-range sniping with its beam diffuse gun.
"ROBOT魂 Gundam Lfrith Thorn ver. A.N.I.M.E." faithfully reproduces the sophisticated design and details composed of heavy armor based on the anime's design drafts, and uses metallic colors and clear parts to represent the red glow emitted when the "Permet Score" activates on the head, chest, and other areas. The entire unit also incorporates the articulation technology cultivated in the ver. A.N.I.M.E. series, providing a flexible range of motion through mechanisms such as pull-out shoulder joints.
Armament accessories include multiple interchangeable hand parts, two beam sabers, a shield, a beam diffuse gun, and the back-mounted phased array cannon. These can be combined with the main unit's flexible articulation to recreate various combat poses. The phased array cannon can not only change its angle via a movable axis at its base but also features an expansion mechanism to reproduce its state when the "Permet Score" is at Level 3 or higher.
