TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., today announced the latest product from the 'ROBOT SPIRITS ver. A.N.I.M.E.' series, a robot-themed articulated finished product line, "GM II (Earth Federation Forces Specification)" from "Mobile Suit Z Gundam," scheduled for release in December 2024.
The RMS-179 GM II is a mobile suit developed by the Earth Federation Forces after the One Year War, based on improvements to the "RGM-79 GM." Components such as the engine, backpack, and auxiliary sensors were modernized, and it was equipped with standard Federation armaments including beam sabers, beam rifles, and hyper bazookas. This model was not only mass-produced as a primary unit by the Federation Forces during the Delaz Conflict but was also widely manufactured and used by both the AEUG and Titans factions in the early stages of the Gryps Conflict in UC 0087, though it was quickly superseded by higher-performance next-generation models like the "Marasai" and "Nemo."
The "ROBOT SPIRITS GM II (Earth Federation Forces Specification) ver. A.N.I.M.E." faithfully recreates the refined armor design and silhouette based on anime setting materials. It incorporates the advanced articulation technology cultivated over many years in the ver. A.N.I.M.E. series, utilizing new shoulder articulation mechanisms and chest armor ingress mechanisms to achieve an even more flexible range of motion.
The armament accessories include various interchangeable hand parts, a beam rifle, a beam saber, and a shield. It also comes with two types of beam saber blade effects, a rifle firing effect, and backpack thruster jet effects, allowing you to recreate dynamic and immersive battle scenes straight from the anime when combined with the main figure!
