World-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys is releasing another new product to celebrate the 25th anniversary of "Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace" – the "Droideka" 1/6th scale collectible figure, with a suggested retail price of US$265, expected to ship in Q2-Q3 2025!
First appearing in "Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace" and utilized by the Trade Federation army, the "Droideka" is not as agile or flexible as a standard Battle Droid. Droidekas were designed with only one function in mind – to utterly eliminate targets. Therefore, they are equipped with powerful firepower and shield generators, requiring considerable effort from Jedi Knights to combat them in the film!
This 1/6th scale collectible Droideka figure stands approximately 33 cm tall when deployed. It faithfully recreates the massive twin blaster cannons at the ends of its arms and its intricate mechanical structure. The paint application meticulously details the baked enamel finish on its exterior. With 25 points of articulation throughout its body, it boasts flexible posability, allowing it to curl into its spherical movement mode just like in the film, freely switching between attack and movement modes to showcase its formidable offensive power!
