Bandai Toy Company's Shokugan division, BANDAI CANDY, is upgrading its popular assembly model Shokugan "SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT" series. In addition to the "Gallian Heavy Armor Custom & Iron Giant Set" from the robot anime Armored World Gallian, they will also release another new product—the "Jashinhei (Metallic Color Ver.)" assembly model. The suggested retail price is 7,200 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in October 2024!
The SF robot TV anime Armored World Gallian, produced by Japanese animation studio SUNRISE, premiered in 1984. The story blends medieval knight fantasy with sci-fi elements. Perhaps due to its overly unique setting, models released by the main sponsor TAKARA did not sell well. The originally planned 50 episodes were cut in half to 25, leading to a somewhat unexpected ending. Although the overall performance was not outstanding, the mecha designed by Kunio Okawara and Yutaka Izubuchi in the series remain incredibly impressive!
The "Jashinhei (Metallic Color Ver.)" released concurrently is also an upgraded revision of the version launched in 2017 under the "Super Minipla" (スーパーミニプラ/SUPERMINIPLA) series. While retaining the basic specifications of the previous version, with color-separated armor parts and red patterns on the head, the main molding color of the body has been entirely upgraded to a metallic tone. The dedicated weapon, the large scythe, has also been adjusted and refined to better fit the main body's design.
Similar to Gallian, Jashinhei's joint material has been changed from PS to ABS. Its accordion-like lower body is connected via ball joints, allowing for flexible articulation. The product's total length reaches an astonishing 55 cm. If you purchase two or more, you can extend the length of the lower body, challenging an imposing size exceeding 100 cm!
