TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced a new product under its S.H.Figuarts action figure brand based on the movie "Ultraman Gaia: The Battle in Hyperspace"—the "King of Mons" (キングオブモンス). It will have a suggested retail price of 17,600 JPY and is scheduled for release in December 2024!
"King of Mons," which appeared in the 1999 "Ultraman Gaia" spin-off theatrical film "Ultraman Gaia: The Battle in Hyperspace," was summoned by delinquent Hiroshi Kashimada. Controlled by the "Red Sphere" (赤い球), a manifestation of human desires, Kashimada wished for "the strongest monster that can surpass Satan Bizo and defeat Gaia." Its mission is to destroy the world, possessing immense destructive power, capable of easily shattering even Gaia's barrier!
This S.H.Figuarts King of Mons faithfully recreates its appearance from the movie, with meticulously sculpted biological details such as its glowing red eyes, golden bone wings, and sharp fangs on its abdomen. The entire body, from neck to tail, features ball joints, while the legs incorporate an extendable design to increase their range of motion. The bone wings can be raised to pose in a spread-wing dynamic stance, and the fangs on its abdomen can even hold the previously released "Ultraman Gaia V2" using interchangeable parts, recreating iconic scenes from the film!
