Megahouse, a Japanese model manufacturer, has unveiled the unpainted prototype of the in-development product "Christina Mackenzie" from Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket. This figure is part of their "GGG (Gundam Girls Generation)" character figure series, which brings female characters from the Mobile Suit Gundam series to life with exquisite sculpting. The release date is yet to be determined.
Christina Mackenzie, who appears in War in the Pocket, is the gentle older sister and childhood friend living next door to the protagonist, Al. In reality, she is a Federation soldier who graduated from military academy with top honors and serves as the pilot for the new mobile suit "Gundam NT-1." After encountering Bernie, a Zeon soldier who infiltrated the colony, they developed feelings for each other without knowing each other's backgrounds.
The "GGG Christina Mackenzie" figure brings to life the illustration drawn by Haruhiko Mikimoto, who was responsible for the anime's character designs. Mikimoto himself thoroughly supervised the sculpting, capturing Chris in a pose where she is warming up her shoulders and partially removing her pilot suit. More detailed product information will be announced at a later date.
