Danish toy company LEGO, after releasing two sets that could be said to overturn established facts, themed around "LEGO Star Wars: Rebuilding the Galaxy"—the 75389 Dark Millennium Falcon and the 75393 TIE Fighter & X-wing Mash-up—recently announced another exciting new set, number 75392, the "Creative Play Droid Builder" (tentative translation)! It is scheduled for release on August 1, 2024, with a suggested retail price of US$99.99.
This set contains a total of 1186 pieces, which can be used to build four aerospace mechanic droids, each approximately 11 cm tall. Among them are our most familiar droid hero R2-D2, C1-10P, nicknamed "Chopper," the pink QT-KT who accompanied Jedi Master Aayla Secura, and the all-black R5-J2, who served on the Galactic Empire's second Death Star. The set also includes extra parts to decorate the droids, such as a duck, a cowboy hat, a mustache, glasses, headphones, and more. The playability is greatly enhanced; putting the duck on R2-D2 is absolutely adorable! You definitely have to try it.
In addition to the droids, this set will also include a special edition minifigure celebrating the 25th anniversary of the "LEGO Star Wars" series: young Princess Leia, along with her droid companion Lola (L0-LA59).
