"SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE FIGURE," the high-quality collectible figure brand under eStream, a subsidiary of Japanese IT group CyberZ (CyberZ, Inc.), recently announced a new product based on the popular anime "A Certain Scientific Railgun" — the "Misaka Mikoto" 1/7 scale pre-painted figure. It has a suggested retail price of 30,800 JPY and is scheduled for release in August 2025!
"A Certain Scientific Railgun" is a Japanese light novel series written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Motoi Fuyukawa, adapted into an anime by the Japanese animation studio J.C.STAFF. The protagonist, "Misaka Mikoto," affectionately known as "Railgun" by fans, ranks third among the only seven Level 5 espers in Academy City. She can freely manipulate one billion volts of high-voltage electricity, electromagnetic waves, and magnetism, making her Academy City's strongest electromaster.
This "Misaka Mikoto" 1/7 scale pre-painted figure stands approximately 26.4 cm tall, recreating Railgun's appearance in her Tokiwadai Middle School uniform as she unleashes her "Railgun" ability. The intricate details capture the wrinkles and textures of her clothing, along with the dynamic flow of her hair and skirt. Bold blue and yellow translucent parts are used to depict the electrifying effects as she charges up to launch a coin at three times the speed of sound, giving the entire piece a spherical appearance and powerfully showcasing the impact of the Railgun!
