The plastic model kit series "MODEROID", produced by Japan's MECHA SMILE brand, has announced a new product from CLAMP's masterpiece Magic Knight Rayearth, which recently announced a new anime production. This new item is the "Legendary Three Mashin Set", scheduled for release in August 2024.
The protagonists, middle school girls Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji, were originally from the real world. One day, after meeting at Tokyo Tower during a social studies field trip, they were suddenly summoned to the alternate world of Cephiro. Princess Emeraude, who supported the country with her strong will and prayers, had been abducted, plunging the world into crisis. Thus, Guru Clef summoned the three girls and bestowed upon them magic, transforming them into Magic Knights capable of fighting alongside the legendary Three Mashin: Mashin Rayearth (Fire Mashin), Mashin Ceres (Sea Mashin), and Mashin Windam (Sky Mashin), embarking on a journey to rescue the princess.
The "MODEROID Legendary Three Mashin Set" re-releases the previously launched Mashin Rayearth, Mashin Ceres, and Mashin Windam as a bundled set. The specifications for all three Mashin are identical to their past releases, utilizing multi-color molded parts, some pre-painted parts, and stickers to assemble the approximately 16 cm tall Mashin. They boast cool designs, flexible articulation, and their respective dedicated weapons. Additionally, the set includes a sword molded in the same clear color as the flame effect parts, which Mashin Rayearth can equip.
