Japan's BANDAI Co., Ltd. GASHAPON capsule toy division has collaborated with renowned sculptor "Hashimoto Mio" to launch a new Ultraman-themed product — the "Hashimoto Mio's Ultraman Kaiju Sculptures" Gashapon. The suggested retail price is 800 JPY per capsule, and it is scheduled for release in late September 2024!
Sculptor Hashimoto Mio's studio is located in northern Mie Prefecture, Japan, where she excels at depicting animals in their natural poses through wood carving, using soft lines to sculpt with respect for life. In addition to sculpting, she also creates illustrations and picture books.
This time, GASHAPON has collaborated with Hashimoto Mio to create soulful Ultraman Kaiju sculptures, utilizing PVC material with warm-toned paintwork to achieve a wood-carved texture. The collection features four popular Kaiju: "Baltan Seijin" (Alien Baltan), "Gomora", "Pigmon", and "Woo". The soft sculptural lines give these Kaiju a high-quality feel, distinct from typical products, at approximately 7-9 cm each, and they look incredibly stylish when displayed on a wooden table!
