Issued by Japanese model maker MEGAHOUSE, the new model series 'MEGA TOON', which transforms 'Yu-Gi-Oh!' monster cards into a cartoon style, following the first wave's "Dark Magician" and "Slifer the Sky Dragon", today announced the second wave of products, "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" and "Obelisk the Tormentor", are scheduled for release in November 2024.
In the original 'Yu-Gi-Oh!' series, the Toon Deck was a special set of cards created by the monster card originator, Maximillion Pegasus, for his own enjoyment. After activating the Continuous Spell Card 'Toon World', all monsters on his field would be toonified. Only Toon Monsters could inflict damage to other Toon Monsters. However, in the original story, only Pegasus possessed this deck, making it quite a cheating presence. Although 'Toon World' is not particularly practical in reality, many toonified monsters like Dark Magician Girl, Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Summoned Skull, and others have incredibly cute designs.
The 'MEGA TOON' series continues the Toon Deck style, this time featuring Seto Kaiba's beloved ace monster card, the "Blue-Eyes White Dragon". Crafted at approximately 12 cm tall, it boasts a chibi-style cartoon design. Its playful and cute pose, with its short limbs swinging, is adorable, and its entire body is finished with a blue-silver paint application to showcase its beautiful coloration.
