American toy brand FUNKO's "Pop! Animation" series has announced its latest products from the Japanese robot anime "Mobile Suit Gundam": "RX-78-2 Gundam" and "Char's Zaku II"! They are expected to be released starting October 2024, with a suggested retail price of US$24.99.
FUNKO's Pop! Vinyl, dedicated to incorporating popular culture into its product lineup, expands once again! In the Pop! Animation series, themed around Japanese anime and manga, the Federation's White Devil and the Red Comet's Zaku II are brought to life as large-headed figures! This release utilizes the 6-inch Super Sized Pop specification, offering a more substantial presence compared to the usual standard 3.75-inch figures. In addition to reinterpreting the characters with Pop! Vinyl's consistent styling, making the heads even more striking, the mobile suit details are also excellently sculpted. The RX-78-2 Gundam holds a shield and a beam saber, and the beam saber even appears to have a translucent visual effect. Char's Zaku II is equipped with a Zaku machine gun. We hope that Guntank and Guncannon will be released next! They would be a perfect fit.
