The popular die-cast toy series "METAL BUILD", released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, showcased a prototype of its latest product, "Z Gundam" from "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam", at today's series exhibition "METAL BUILD FESTIVAL 2024 WITH CLUB TAMASHII MEMBERS". The release date is yet to be determined.

The MSZ-006 Z Gundam is a next-generation transformable MS developed by the AEUG after acquiring the Titans' new mobile suit "RX-178 Gundam MK-II" and utilizing its movable frame technology. It features high-rigidity and lightweight armor made of Gundarium γ alloy, and is equipped with a rich array of armaments including a beam rifle, beam saber, and multiple types of grenade launchers. It also incorporates a simplified psycommu device, the "Bio-Sensor", which allows Newtype pilots to enhance the mobile suit's performance through brainwave assistance. When fully activated, it can generate incredible powers such as strengthening beam weapons, forming shields, and disabling enemy mobile suits...

The "METAL BUILD Z Gundam", constructed with an alloy frame, is the series' first product to feature an extremely complex transformation mechanism. Mechanical designer Junichi Akutsu is responsible for its styling. The exhibited prototype shows a very high degree of completion, with the entire unit boasting a texture overflowing with METAL BUILD style, and unique armor and proportion designs distinct from other series. It combines both articulation and the Waverider mode transformation mechanism. Armaments such as the beam rifle and beam saber accessories were also displayed.
