Japanese brand GOOD SMILE COMPANY is releasing several new items in its large-sized plush toy series, themed after the popular anime "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" — "David," "Lucy," "Rebecca," and "Cyber Skeleton," with an estimated release in January 2025!
"Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" is a spin-off anime produced by Studio TRIGGER for CD Projekt's game "Cyberpunk 2077." It tells the story of David Martinez, a protagonist from a poor background, who is taken in by a crew of edgerunners led by Maine after his mother's death, as he seeks a way to survive in a world of over-developed technology. GSC previously released plush dolls of David, Lucy, and Rebecca, and this time they are re-releasing them in a larger 17 cm size, showcasing more character design details with a cute, chibi proportion.

The most eye-catching item this time is definitely David in his "Cyber Skeleton" form! In the final two episodes of the series, David, in order to save his beloved Lucy, reluctantly installed the Cyber Skeleton to confront Adam Smasher, sent by the Arasaka Corporation. Ultimately, due to the vast disparity in power and cyberpsychosis, he gradually lost his sanity and was defeated, failing to fulfill his dream of going to the moon with Lucy. The product transforms David with the Cyber Skeleton into a plush toy approximately 25 cm tall, recreating David's abdominal muscle sculpt with stitching, and reproducing various details on the Cyber Skeleton device using heat transfer printing. The powerful mechanical design appears strikingly and amusingly incongruous with the plush toy's cute proportions!
