American toy brand SUPER7, dedicated to releasing 80s and 90s pop culture-themed toys, has unveiled a series of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed products set to launch at the "Mikey's Pizza" pop-up event during San Diego Comic Con (SDCC)! First up, we're excited to show all toy enthusiasts the "Pizza Chef Mikey" 7-inch action figure from SUPER7's "ULTIMATES!" action figure line!
If there's one of the four pizza-loving turtles most likely to open a pizza shop, it would undoubtedly be the pizza-obsessed Michelangelo! SUPER7 is holding the "Mikey's Pizza" pop-up event at local San Diego pizza shop "TNT Pizza," envisioning a scenario where the pizza fanatic Michelangelo has opened his own pizza parlor, launching several new pizza-themed products!
This "Pizza Chef Mikey" product is a modified version based on the "Michelangelo" 7-inch action figure previously released in the third wave of the ULTIMATES! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. He's been given a fabric apron printed with "Pizza Time" and a chef's hat, showcasing his attire while making pizza in the kitchen! Accessories also include Michelangelo's signature nunchaku, with four pizza slices and a pizza box replacing the classic weapon set that paid homage to the Playmates version from the third wave. It also includes the playful tongue-out head sculpt from the sixth wave's "Sewer Surfer Mikey," which, when paired with the concurrently released "Pizza Party Wagon," allows for fun scenes of Chef Mikey secretly snacking on pizza inside the food truck!
For toy enthusiasts unable to attend SDCC, don't be discouraged! The official announcement states that in addition to the pop-up event sale, this item will also be available for limited online ordering on the SUPER7 official website on July 29th, US time. Don't miss the chance to order online!
