Japanese gashapon manufacturer Kitan Club (キタンクラブ) previously collaborated with renowned sculptor "Tsutomu Funabashi" to launch the popular "High Heel Cat" (ハイヒール猫) in September last year. Now, the highly anticipated second series, "High Heel Cat 2" gashapon, is set to be released, with a reference price of 300 JPY and an estimated release date of August 2024!
Tsutomu Funabashi excels at creating various sculptures with cats as his theme, covering subjects from real-life animals to fantastical creatures and other mythical elements. His previous collaborations with Kitan Club, "Cat Hugging Taiyaki" and "Matchbox Cat," were both extremely popular! This "High Heel Cat 2" continues the ingenious design of the first series, which merged a cat's stretching pose with the shape of a high heel. This new series introduces five color and material variations: "Silver," "Pearl Pink," "Black and White," "American Shorthair," and "Clear." Among these, the most eye-catching is undoubtedly the transparent design, which immediately brings to mind Cinderella's glass slipper. One can only imagine the prince's confusion if this particular glass slipper were left behind!
