The popular die-cast toy brand "Soul of Chogokin," released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors' toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., following the "GX-105 Mazinger Z KAKUMEI SHINKA," officially announced today (16th) a new product from "Mazinger Z vs. The Great General of Darkness": "GX-105D Mazinger Z KAKUMEI SHINKA - Damaged Version"! It is scheduled for release in December 2024, with a suggested retail price of 22,000 JPY (tax included).
This "Mazinger Z KAKUMEI SHINKA," returning with a tragic battle-damaged appearance, is produced based on the settings from the movie "Mazinger Z vs. The Great General of Darkness." Standing approximately 16.5 cm tall, the entire figure faithfully recreates Mazinger Z's heavily damaged appearance, scarred from the fierce attacks of the powerful Battle Beasts of the Mycenae Empire. Not only is the supposedly indestructible Super Alloy Z riddled with holes, but the Jet Scrander on its back is also melted, with its frame warped and exposed. Furthermore, replacement parts allow for recreating the appearance of its right forearm being severed. Upon closer inspection, Koji Kabuto can even be seen inside the Pilder in the head. The overall effect is truly devastating.
Other accessories include interchangeable hands (2 types for the left, 1 type for the right), Drill Missile launch ports ×2, missile warheads ×3, and the Mazinger Blade, among others. By detaching/attaching the Jet Scrander and arm parts, various poses can be freely enjoyed, allowing you to recreate its valiant appearance, fighting to the very last moment, still clutching the Mazinger Blade despite being utterly ravaged!
