American renowned toy manufacturer Hasbro's Transformers Studio Series has launched a new product based on the 1986 animated film The Transformers — the "Deluxe Class 86-31 The Movie Optimus Prime," with a suggested retail price of US$89.99, slated for release in November 2024!
The 1986 animated film The Transformers was adapted from the G1 Transformers animated TV series, which began airing in 1984. The story is set in 2005, 20 years after the end of the second season, with the Decepticons once again occupying Cybertron. At the very beginning of the film, Optimus Prime emerged victorious in a duel with Megatron but ultimately died from severe injuries. Before his death, Optimus Prime passed the Matrix of Leadership to Ultra Magnus. The severely wounded Megatron was then rebuilt by Unicron into the evolved Galvatron and dispatched to hunt down the fleeing Autobots, destroying Ultra Magnus and attempting to control the Matrix of Leadership, but failing. Finally, Hot Rod became the new Autobot leader, Rodimus Prime, and used the Matrix's power to destroy Unicron, reclaiming Cybertron.
This Studio Series: Deluxe Class The Movie Optimus Prime stands approximately 17.7 cm tall in robot mode, faithfully recreating Optimus Prime's classic red and blue semi-truck appearance from the film. His chest can open left and right, just like in the movie, to reveal the Matrix of Leadership within. The figure can transform between robot and alt modes in approximately 40 steps. The semi-trailer stores a scout vehicle and a repair arm, which can be set up as a weapons depot to store the included accessories such as the blaster and energy axe. Furthermore, the included blast effect parts can be optionally equipped on the blaster and scout vehicle according to display needs, and additional effect parts are included that can be mounted under the vehicle, allowing you to recreate various scenes from the movie!
