World-renowned Hong Kong toy brand Hot Toys today (22nd) announced on social media a series of products to be released at the Hong Kong Ani-Com & Games convention this weekend. This article will introduce the new product from the "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" theme – the "General Grievous" 1/6 scale diecast collectible figure, with a suggested retail price of HKD 2,380!
General Grievous, the commander of the Separatist Droid Army, is a villain who appeared in the prequel trilogy and the spin-off animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." He possesses a biological brain, internal organs, and a mechanical body, covered entirely in white armor. His arms can split into four, and his hobby is collecting the lightsabers of Jedi Knights he has defeated. Taught lightsaber combat personally by Count Dooku, he is capable of fighting with four blades. His duel with Obi-Wan in the trilogy is an unforgettable iconic scene for fans!
This General Grievous 1/6 scale diecast collectible figure stands approximately 42 cm tall and features 25 points of articulation throughout its body. To faithfully recreate his cybernetic features and mechanical prosthetics after his transformation, the joints are specially crafted from diecast metal, enhancing overall stability and range of motion. The figure realistically reproduces various weathering and battle-damaged marks on the armor, and by removing the chest plate, the intricate internal mechanical structure details can be seen, vividly restoring General Grievous' appearance from the film!
What the development team is most proud of this time is the design of the mechanical arms, which can split and merge just like in the movie, recreating his battle stance wielding four lightsabers! In addition to four LED light-up lightsabers (two blue and two green), accessories also include a battle-damaged mask, a blaster pistol, and an electrostaff. Coupled with the fabric cape, the figure perfectly reproduces his powerful intimidating presence from the film!
