Renowned poster design and toy company MONDO has announced a new product for the "Masters of the Universe" theme—the "ScareGlow" 1/6 scale action figure. With a reference price of US$275, the timed edition will be available for pre-order exclusively on the MONDO Shop official website starting at noon CT on July 23, 2024, with an estimated shipping date of February 2025!
ScareGlow first appeared in the 1987 "Masters of the Universe" toy line produced by Mattel. He is an evil ghost summoned by the main villain, Skeletor, from another dimension. In the 1987 UK "Masters of the Universe" comic, ScareGlow possessed the powerful ability to become invisible during the day and to terrify enemies with intense luminescence at night. Its cool design, abilities, and the toy's glow-in-the-dark feature have long been beloved by fans, and in recent years, its merchandise has become a highly sought-after item in the "Masters of the Universe" series!
This 1/6 scale ScareGlow action figure has been completely redesigned from head to toe by the MONDO team, creating a striking new look for ScareGlow with brand-new wearable armor, a tattered cape, and缠繞 chains. The armor features a detachable design, allowing him to revert to his classic appearance. The sculpt is based on the original toy's body shape, meticulously capturing the somewhat eerie texture of bones and muscles intertwined on his body. The combination of different materials such as fabric, plastic, and metal showcases the high quality of this piece. Of course, the most important glow-in-the-dark feature of ScareGlow has been retained in the paint application, allowing him to emit a powerful presence even in the dark!
For interchangeable parts, it includes, for the first time, a head sculpt of his human form—Karak Nul. It also comes with the classic Mattel original toy head sculpt and an original fabric cape! For accessories, MONDO has actively collaborated with Mattel, the rights holder for Masters of the Universe, to create new accessory weapons: the Mourning Star flail, a bendable spine whip with a wire structure, and dark flame effects. The timed edition further includes a head sculpt with green flame effects and a glow-in-the-dark axe weapon. The rich accessories full of details and the newly designed look offer collectors a different experience of ScareGlow!
This ScareGlow figure can also be combined and played with the simultaneously released "Scare-Mare," and when displayed together, they will become a powerful presence not to be overlooked in any collection!
