KOTOBUKIYA, the Japanese model manufacturer, has once again announced the latest collaboration product in its popular assembly model series 'Megami Device,' which combines colorful mechanical equipment with highly poseable bishoujo bodies. The 'Edelweiss Hunter Type Repaint Color Version,' based on 《Busou Shinki》, is scheduled for release in September 2024.
This product is a modification of the standard "Edelweiss Hunter Type" released in 2019. Designer Fumikane Shimada has given it a completely new color scheme, transforming the original pure white imagery, reminiscent of its flower name, into a dark-skinned appearance. The armor colors have also been re-adjusted to various shades of blue, creating an entirely different style.
Aside from the color differences, the kit contents are essentially the same as the standard version. The Machineca Edelweiss Hunter Type utilizes the Machineca body designed by sculptor Masaki Apsy, featuring extremely flexible movable joints. It comes with 3 pre-painted face parts and multiple PVC hand parts for replacement, allowing for various cute and shy poses in "Body Mode."
By equipping various armor parts, a large rifle, and four long swords, it can form "Armed Mode." The back features a multi-axis movable mechanical arm that can suspend various weapons, allowing for free combination into multiple poses. The entire body is also equipped with numerous 3mm expansion points and interchangeable neck parts, enabling customization with separately sold KOTOBUKIYA products such as 'M.S.G,' 'Frame Arms Girl,' 'Sousai Shojo Teien,' and more.
