Japan's "Mobile Suit Gundam" official Gunpla flagship store GUNDAM BASE today announced the latest limited Gunpla "RG 1/144 RX-93ff ν Gundam [Clear Color]", which will be pre-sold at GUNDAM SIDE-F in Fukuoka, is scheduled to go on sale starting July 27, 2024.
The "Life-sized RX-93ff ν Gundam Statue", which became a hot topic in 2021, stands in front of LaLaport Fukuoka, boasting an impressive height of 24.8 meters. Its design is based on the original version that appeared in 《Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack》, with animation director Yoshiyuki Tomino supervising the redesign of the new ground-supporting armament "Long-Range Fin Funnel" and parts of the body's colors and markings. Additionally, the right arm features a movable mechanism that allows it to be raised.
The "RG 1/144 RX-93ff ν Gundam [Clear Color]" is a modification of the standard color version released in 2022. All parts' molding colors have been replaced with clear white, clear blue, clear red, gunmetal gray, and other colors, presenting a special texture where the internal frame structure shows through the armor. This also makes it more convenient for special modification techniques such as lighting and luminous paints, allowing for a style different from regular Gunpla.
Aside from the molding colors, the specifications are essentially the same as the standard version, inheriting the excellent part separation and precise articulation design of the original RG ν Gundam. The shoulders, waist, and hips are designed with highly articulated joints, and the leg armor also features interlocking mechanisms. Armaments include the beam rifle, beam saber, hyper bazooka, and shield equipped with the standard version, as well as the statue version's unique "Long-Range Fin Funnel," which can recreate shoulder-firing via a multi-directional movable stand or be directly equipped to the right hand.
