Renowned American toy manufacturer Hasbro has announced new products for its Marvel Legends 6-inch action figure series at this year's San Diego Comic Con (SDCC). In addition to "Kang the Conqueror," they also unveiled another highly anticipated new item for fans: the "Sentinels" action figure 2-pack. With a suggested retail price of US$49.99, pre-orders will open on the Hasbro Pulse official website on the afternoon of July 27th (US time), with an estimated release in Fall 2024!
The Sentinels, co-created by Marvel's father Stan Lee and legendary comic artist Jack Kirby, first appeared in 1965's Uncanny X-Men #14. Developed by Trask Industries, these combat robots are designed to detect mutant genes and eliminate mutants. Their formidable combat and reconnaissance capabilities, coupled with their sheer numbers, frequently plunge the X-Men into crisis.
This product includes two Sentinel action figures, each approximately 18.29 cm tall. This is slightly larger than standard 6-inch Marvel Legends figures. While the scale may not perfectly match their comic book size compared to the previous HasLab crowdfunded version, they still boast excellent sculpting and articulation, and come at a more accessible price point. The overall design draws inspiration from the Sentinels' appearances across various comics, games, and other works, resulting in a robust, towering physique rendered in vibrant pink and purple hues. Accessories include a pair of interchangeable hands for each figure, jet effects that can be attached to their feet and palms, and even a boulder accessory, allowing for dynamic display and showcasing the Sentinels' immense power!
