The official Disney Store unveiled a series of event merchandise at the annual D23 Expo. In this article, we're bringing toy enthusiasts a look at a new "Battle-Damaged Captain America Shield" 1:1 scale prop replica, themed after "Avengers: Endgame." It has a suggested retail price of US$400, is limited to 1500 units, and is expected to be released in September 2024!
In "Avengers: Endgame," as Hulk's snap brought back everyone who had vanished, Thanos from an alternate timeline also appeared and destroyed the Avengers Compound. Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America fought valiantly but were no match for Thanos's immense power. Even after wielding Mjolnir, Captain America was defeated in his one-on-one duel with Thanos, and his Vibranium shield was even cut in half.
This battle-damaged Captain America shield stands approximately 61 cm tall and is crafted from composite materials including metal and plastic. It faithfully recreates the shield's appearance after being damaged by Thanos in the film, at a 1:1 scale. The surface is coated with metallic paint and features weathering effects to replicate the shield's look after the intense battle. The inside of the shield has leather straps for wear on the arm and includes a speaker system that plays various sound effects from the movie!
Furthermore, a dedicated display stand will be included, allowing it to be showcased as a collectible when not in use. The packaging itself is designed as a high-quality storage box, enabling collectors to fully preserve this iconic prop!
